The differences between FRP and ABS as below:. 1) FRP (Fibre-reinforced plastic also fibre-reinforced polymer) is a composite material made of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers. The fibres are usually glass, carbon, aramid, or basalt. Rarely, other fibres such as paper or wood or asbestos have been used. The polymer is usually an epoxy, vinylester or polyester thermosetting plastic, and phenol formaldehyde resins are still in use. 2) ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a thermoplastic resin commonly used for injection molding applications. ABS Plastic is a copolymer of Acrylonitrile, Butadiene, and Styrene, and generally possess medium strength and performance at medium cost. That why you may see the PO price is slight different between these two helmet. :)
