Released in 2005 and sculpted by Sam Greenwell. This Angel Mini Bust is a limited edition run of only 1000 worldwide. This one is a very rare Marvel Sample. It is the original finalized sample used for industry specifics and Marvel approval and is the only one of its kind numbered F.P.S.
The high-flying Angel, the Co-creation of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, first ascended into the Marvel firmament in September of 1963. Warren Worthington III was born into great wealth, enjoying a privileged life with few worries. Upon adolescence, he discovered his mutant heritage when he sprouted feathery wings that allowed him to soar through the heavens at remarkable speeds. As the Angel, Warren maintained his carefree attitude, soon being recruited by Professor Charles Xavier into the original X-Men.
The Angel's cavalier lifestyle ultimately suffered a downfall. During his tenure as the leader of X-Factor, Angel was robbed of his feathered flight in battle with the subterranean Morlocks. The despotic Apocalypse replaces his wings with mechanical ones, recreating the mutant into a dark angel of death. Fortunately, Warren's organic wings have returned, as has his original personality. Angel now stands poised to fly into action with the X-Men, and is currently aiding Professor Xavier in Genosha.
