The Tower of the Sun was created by artist Taro Okamoto for Expo '70, held in Osaka, as a symbol for the event and has since become an iconic piece of Osaka artistry. Commemorating this, the 40th year of Chogokin, the Tower of the Sun Robo is an impressive testament to art and design itself, nevermind science fiction.
The Tower of the Sun Robo can be displayed to resemble the real-life landmark, or can sprout arms and legs in mech form. Its main face and top can also open up to expose more mechanical detailing.
This Robo includes a set of attachable hands and a display stand.
